Omnibus III

Omnibus III provides an introduction to Western literature from 1563 to 1994, spanning from the Reformation to the Postmodern era. Students will experience the Great Works of literature within this timeframe as well as read various analytical works on the dominant thoughts of each period (Reformation, Enlightenment, Modern, and Postmodern).

English 9

English 9 follows Memoria Press Classical Composition V (Common Topic) and VI (Encomium, Invective, and Comparison). Students practice writing focused moral arguments, then longer essays of praise, blame, and comparison, with a clear thesis and ordered development.

Logic 9

Material Logic is the logical and philosophical study of truth especially in the context of logical arguments. In this course, students will be taught to construct, deconstruct, and analyze truth claims and argument content.

Latin 9

Latin 9 continues Wheelock’s Latin through chapters 18–40 and finishes the core grammar of the language. Students add the remaining declensions and the full passive system, then take on the constructions that make real Latin readable: participles and the ablative absolute, infinitives and indirect statement, comparison of adjectives, and the subjunctive in purpose, result, cum, and conditional clauses, along with deponents, gerunds, and gerundives. Work is morphology, translation, and composition, with more and more time in connected passages. By year’s end students should be ready to begin intermediate authors.
